On Saturday evening 18 March, the traditionally organized Hungarian ball of the Hungarian organizations, took place in Haarlem, with the support of the Embassy of Hungary

The ball attracted almost 100 representative of the Hungarian community in the Netherlands. Ambassador Kocsis, who held an opening speech, passed on the message of Prime Minister Orbán dedicated to Hungarians living abroad.

György Bally, head of the Mikes Kelemen Kör in the Netherlands, adressed the audience as well. 

The event, organised by the Hungaria Club 1929 was complemented by a great gastronomy and several performances.

The poem ’Nemzeti dal’ of Sándor Petőfi was recited by Zsuzsa Hoeks-Györky, secretary of the Hungaria Club 1929. Opera singer Gabor Balint, pianist Mano Snijders and Orsi Hertzinger-Snijders performed popular Hungarian classical music. The performance by Victoria en Czinka Panna formed the closing act of the evening.
